Communion & Confirmation update from Fr. Martin.

Confirmation & Communion, Update 29 April 2020

Dear Pupils, Parents and Teachers, I hope you are keeping well at this time. As the restrictions imposed by the Government are set to continue for some time, it was with great sadness that we had to cancel the Confirmation ceremony planned for the 25th of March 2020 & the Communion ceremony planned for May 22nd. I know how disappointing this was for you and I also know how much preparation you had put into getting ready for the Confirmation and Communion . Please don’t lose heart. As soon as the restrictions are lifted and we are given the go ahead, we can set a new date. Sadly, at this time, we don’t know when this will be. As large gatherings will probably not be permitted for a long time to come, we may have to look at having Confirmation for smaller groups. We can explore all options when the time comes. For now, we have to follow closely the guidelines provided for the safety and well being of everyone so that we can all gather together again sooner rather than later. We will continue update you on any further developments regarding the celebration of Communion & Confirmation as we receive them.

May the Lord bless you and your family, and keep you safe
